Mark's #16: Mystery Rummy - Jack the Ripper
The 1st and (so far) the best of Mike Fitzgerald's Mystery Rummy series of highly thematic card games, Jack the Ripper offers a simple rummy-ish system complicated by an intriguing scoring system and some special action cards.And that description doesn't do the game justice. It's by turns nail-biting and infuriating, allowing you to make clever plays and press your luck, rummy-style. It's just really very, very, very good.

My problem with the game is that rules make the game seem far more complicated than it really is.
